Kilmun Arboretum
Kilmun Arboretum in the village of Kilmun, by Holy Loch on the Cowal Penninsula. Kilmun Arboretum features around 150 different tree species seen from trails. See ornamental maples, Japanese cedars, Himalayan spruce, redwood and sequoias from California, monkey puzzles from South America and Eucalyptus from the Australian bush. There is a connecting path to Puck's Glen and Benmore Botanic Garden.

RSPB Gartocharn
RSPB Scotland has two excellent reserves in Loch Lomond and the Trossachs, at Inversnaid and Gartocharn, with very knowledgable and friendly wardens. Cycle from Strathyre to Killin

Doon Hill, Aberfoyle
The legendary story of Reverend Robert Kirk who was a minister in Aberfoyle between 1685-1692. He put Aberfoyle on the map as the ‘Faerie Capital’, inspiring many people to walk up Doon Hill with the story of him being abducted by the faeries for revealing their secrets.
