Killin
Killin is a pretty village, close to the edge of the National Park and the western head of Loch Tay. The dramatic Falls of Dochart cut through the village, with the A827 heading over a bridge across them. If you want to see more photographs of the falls, please see our separate guide to them. Loch lubhair and Loch Dochart
You will find first Loch Dochart and then Loch lubhair when heading east on the A85 from Crianlarich. The River Dochart connects both of these neighbouring lochs in the Breadalbane region of Loch Lomond & The Trossachs. Loch Voil and Loch Doine
Loch Voil and Loch Doine, two neighbouring lochs are deep in Rob Roy Country, close to Balquhidder. Opposite Monachyle Mhor hotel on the strip of land between Loch Voil and Loch Doine there is the Mirror Box, a scenic viewpoint installation and part of the BLiSS Trail.
Falls of Dochart, Killin
The Falls of Dochart are in the pretty village of Killin, within the National Park, but very close to the outer boundary of Loch Lomond and the Trossachs. As you can see from the map below, they are actually in the village. The main A827 road has to pass over the falls to access Killin.
